Soccer season is finally over for the year and I have two weeks before the start of basketball season which means I am hoping to get those 4-5 episodes of Religious Rebels recorded. I told you I wanted to do a series on reconstructing faith—what it might look like—and that is still my plan. Hopefully you will get the first episode by the end of October.
I’ve been having conversations both here on Substack and also on Threads about faith deconstruction lately. Here is last week’s essay if you missed it.
With that in mind, I want to share another podcast with you. Amy Fritz and I had a great conversation about faith deconstruction, reconstruction, and finding the real Jesus when I was first promoting my book, Religious Rebels back in 2023. Amy has done a wide range of interviews focusing on spiritual abuse, abusive Christian leadership, and faith. She is a fantastic host. Amy has since ended her Unraveling Faith podcast, but I’ve heard she has something else in the works for the near future.
You can watch/listen to my episode on YouTube. You can also explore some of Amy’s other episodes here. I appreciate the way Amy is willing to tackle difficult topics and have hard conversations that many churches and Christians wants to avoid, and she does it with kindness and grace.
Thanks for reading, following, and being a part of this little community. I appreciate you, your comments, and your encouragement!
As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts, questions, or comments. You can find me on Threads, Instagram, Facebook, my website, and on my original podcast. I’d love to connect with you on any of these places!
My new podcast, Religious Rebels, can be found on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart Radio, and more. Episodes drop every other Sunday at noon on YouTube and 5pm on Substack and everywhere you listen to podcasts.
