The Value of Rethinking our Faith

Many of us are feeling cranky and disillusioned with our Christian experience. We find ourselves deconstructing our faith and beliefs out of necessity. Extra traditions have been added over the years. What if our cranky hearts are leading us home? What if we want more because there is more to be found? What if the god in our head isn’t the Real God?

#Rethink: Question, Ponder, Explore

Each month you will receive an issue of #Rethink covering three topics: Something I’m Questioning, Something I’ve Read, and Something I’m Learning. You will also receive one bonus post covering a piece of Christy’s story, some thoughts on a Scripture, or concerns she has with the modern church.

About Christy

Christy Lynne Wood spent the 90s in a Christian cult, but Jesus found her anyway. She started deconstructing and reconstructing her faith long before those were buzzwords. The Jesus she’d met and the god of her cult couldn’t be the same God. Christy continues to pick apart legalism, twisted Scripture, and lies in a search for the truth. She is passionate about helping people leave behind empty religion as they seek Jesus. Christy lives in West Michigan with her wonderfully-opposite husband and their two children.
