I'm looking forward to this collection of episodes! I am simultaneously deconstructing and reconstructing, with new challenges popping up all of the time. Kind of like gutting a house and restoring it. But I want to affirm what you mentioned about charismatic/NAR spaces being just as legalistic in their own way as compared to more traditional denominational spaces. That's what I grew up in and while everything was cloaked in not being held to the legalistic rules that people departed from to create those churches, they're definitely just as rigid in their own way. It's just the outward displays of faith that differ.
[And as for your gardening reference, may I suggest a small raised bed filled with zinnia and sunflower seeds. Low effort, great reward!]
Well looky there, you're graduating into next level gardening! 😁 Plant some basil and oregano next to them for pest protection.
And if you want to have a different kind of fun, plant some dill and parsley in another area for butterflies to lay their eggs. You can then have the delight of watching baby butterflies (aka caterpillars), voraciously feast on them as a prepare for their transformation. 🥰
I love that, Christy. I have deconstructed and am still in the process of reconstructing. I loved how you said you are holding onto fewer things, but your grip is tighter. And that it’s ok not to know everything. Thanks for sharing!

Love me some zinnias! But I might be ready to add a tomato plant or two. 😆
