Ah!! Sooo good. I love this so much. Yep I used to be in that world of superstitious faith too. Yikes it makes me cringe! I love how our God is so much bigger! Thank you so much for sharing my work!! 🤍🙌

I had read the article you inserted & it spoke to my heart. Our God is so incredibly immense. I don’t think it’s possible to wrap our heads around that. We see daily signs of His enormity in His vast & beautiful creation & yet, even all that beauty & power is simply a small part of Him. I’m practicing being still & knowing God is always with me. How much are we loved that He never turns away from us?

Thank you for this beautifully written article about who God really is & the smallness & futility of trying to put Him in a box. Perfect thoughts for my Sunday devotion.

This is very true. How sweet it has been for me to simply abide in Jesus. It’s a peaceful place not one filled with demanding a blessing or looking for a demon around each corner.

I didn’t even get into the whole spiritual warfare thing, but that is definitely another part of a superstitious faith. Simply being with Jesus is a beautiful thing!

I’m going to read the other author’s post, but this is good. We have to get away from superstitious behaviour and be in touch with God.

Thx

I’m definitely not a cessasionist, more of a middle way type. God can speak however He wants to and does. But I think often people seek the signs more than they are seeking Him and it becomes yet another form of legalism—you must perform a certain way or you aren’t good enough.

I think the truth is that there are different gifts and not everyone has every one of them.

Also, I’m not sure everyone else is actually hearing from God either. It’s kinda like those fake psychics where you just pick something basic and easy to “fulfill” and it might even be subconscious. Or they might be feeling just like you do too but you’d never know because they are trying and just pretending. 😬

God sometimes speaks to me in my mind, but definitely not always and not when I’m trying to make Him. He uses many other things like people, songs, nature, the Bible.

I think He leads us as we move forward like you said. It doesn’t have to be a weird superstitious experience. You are on the right track!
