This month we will question what Scripture says about false prophets and apostles, ponder our search for faces, and explore the new book idea on my heart.
Interesting comments about Christians being sometimes reluctant to challenge others. It's especially interesting to me because I am currently writing a blog series on the problems with Evangelicalism, and I'm challenging leadership a lot in that series. Like you, I don't want to judge them, nor try to evaluate their walk with Jesus. That's not my brief. But what I can do is to call out their glaring mistakes, some of which (in my series) go back over 30 years, and use them as examples of how bad Evangelicalism has become, apostate even. And it is possible to judge the denomination without naming names and judging individuals. And like you said, it has to be done :D
It has to be done! I’m glad you are doing your part to spread truth as well. We can definitely point out error without pridefully judging. I think often people don’t want to deal with the potential fallout so they make excuses. But that’s how we got to this place we are in. 😬
Definitely a major contributor, and no mistake. Something else that I'm doing in my new series is simply to give testimonies and stories telling how leadership made complete balls-ups of things. It's quite a fertile field to work in haha!
I am here to say amen to this book idea and thank you for your openness to this story being shared.
Thank you for the encouragement!
What I cannot understand is why leaders are not held the to the
Fruit of the Spirit. For some reason their charisma seems to excuse
them from this requirement!
That is the question!!
